A house where beer means joy
The Griesbräu zu Murnau is not a conventional restaurant but a genuine brewpub, where you happily share a table with people you have not yet met. Under one roof, four independent worlds come together as one cosy whole: the Bavarian tap room, the copper in-house brewery, the sheltered beer garden in the courtyard and a 4-star hotel with individually designed rooms.
Owner Michael Gilg revived the brewing tradition in the year 2000. Today the focus is on freshly tapped, house-brewed and naturally cloudy beers, honest regional dishes and warm hospitality.
