Right in the middle of Murnau, in an idyllic courtyard beneath an old acacia, our beer garden opens up. House-brewed beers, warm food and a good measure of Bavarian ease, well sheltered from the bustle of the town.

A green retreat in the heart of Murnau
Behind the green facade of the main house on Obermarkt lies a courtyard of a kind rarely found today. An old acacia casts its shade over the tables, while the cobblestones and the ancient walls of the courtyard house tell of more than 25 years of living beer culture. Here you gladly sit together, even with guests you have only just met.
The beer garden is not a noisy place but a quiet, green island in the very centre of town. Perfect for a cool half-litre after a stroll across the Obermarkt, a hearty snack in the afternoon or a long, relaxed summer evening.

Our beers travel only a few metres, from the copper in-house brewery straight to your table in the courtyard. Alongside lager, wheat beer and dark Ur-Dunkel, the beer garden is where we love to pour our seasonal brews.

Bavarian dishes under the open sky
From 11:00 to 21:00 we serve warm food throughout the day. Whether a hearty snack of Obazda and a pretzel, a sausage salad with a cool half-litre or a warm dish from the Schmankerlofen: in the beer garden you enjoy the same honest Bavarian cuisine as in the tap room, simply under the open sky.
